3 Coaching Tips to Get You Moving!

Updated: May 4, 2020

It's been over a month since our world shut down and when my place of work and gym closed its doors. On the same day, I became a homeschool Mom, and in the words of my homie Fresh Prince, I found my life got flipped- turned upside down.

I know that I am not alone here--but you too have found your life flipped-turned upside down. Whether you have kids at home or if you are trying to work from home, if you have lost your job or if you are working longer hours, you've been affected by this. I see you. I am in it with you.

Whether you had a rock solid workout plan or not, taking care of our health is essential-now more than ever. Not only for our physical health but for our mental and emotional health too!

I want to help you!

The fun will be happening over on The InfluenceHER Podcast where I will be giving you some of my best coaching tips that have helped me stick to healthy rhythms even in quarantine!

This episode will help you get out of your own way, ditch the excuses and start becoming stronger than you were yesterday.

So how do we do it?

Here are 3 Coaching tips to get you started.

1. Ditch the Excuses.

We need to move from the focusing on what we do not have and start taking inventory of what we do have and use it!

If you don’t not have a Peloton or a treadmill, or even a clean garage, welcome to the party—neither do I. I get it-it's not the most motivating environment and I understand that life is busy, hard and weird right now.

But guess what? There will be many more days like this. No, maybe not in quarantine, but you will have different seasons and challenges when you will need to learn the art of ditching the excuses. If you have a body (you do!!),then congrats my friend, you have everything you need!

2. Start Simple.

It doesn't need to be the best workout of your life. Just do something.

3. It is not ALL or NOTHING.

We are creating habits for a lifetime, so it doesn't have to be all or nothing. Just do something and consider it a win. If you moved longer or faster or felt stronger, way to go! Celebrate that.

If today you could only squeeze in 20 minutes instead of the hour you wanted to, that's OK, celebrate what you did do and build on it. If you missed a day...don't miss two days!

Alright girl, grab your water bottle and run over to The InfuenceHER Podcast--there's a lot more over there!
