Have you ever felt completely out of your comfort zone, yet exactly where you were supposed to be? That was me yesterday as I took some exiciting next steps with sarahjohnson.co.
For the past 7 years, I have been sharing my life and moments with all of you. It’s been such a special experience so far, getting to know each of you and creating a community where we can share our stories, our struggles and our moments with one another.
This Blog was birthed during a very sad time of my life. I was laying on my bed recovering from a surgery that I just had days before. I was pregnant for the first time and in a matter of weeks and before we could share the exciting news with our family and friends, I checked into the ER (with a lot of pain) and within a matter of hours, I was being rushed into the operating room for surgery. I believed with all my heart that God was going to do a miracle in my body and that the baby was going to move from my tubes (where it was stuck) and move it to where it needed to be. But, it didn’t work out that way.
As I laid on my bed, broken and sad, I had a conversation with my cousin and one of my most trusted mentors, Monica. She began to speak life over me and encouraged me to start blogging. I had no idea what that even meant and seven years ago only super “important” people had a blog. Haha! I have always had a passion to write and had dreams of how I would use that passion one day. So I began–I began sharing stories and moments along my journey in hopes to help encourage someone along the way.
I honestly didn’t think anyone besides a few of my family and friends would ever click to read any post, but they did, you did. And I am forever grateful for that. Anytime I hear that something I have shared has helped someone in their journey gives more meaning and value to every hardship, trial and victory I have ever experienced.
A few months ago, I heard a gentle whisper saying, “It’s time Sarah.”
As I sat there and just listened, I knew exactly what that meant. It was time for me to wipe the dust off some of the dreams I had tucked away in my heart. So here I am. Here we are.
I am so excited to share with you that, in just a few weeks, sarahjohnson.co will not only be a place for weekly blog posts, but it will be a place where we can grow and learn together in a more meaningful way. Here, you will find video teachings, studies, resources and more! My prayer and my vision for this is to be a place where you can belong, a place you can visit to be encrouaged, strengthened and grow in your relationship with God and with others. I don’t wish to add to the noise, but to speak to you, right where you are.
I am excited and freaking out all at the same time. Knowing you are here with me as I take this next step into uncharted terrritoy makes it that much more fun, my friend! I cant wait to learn together and grow closer. So, be on the look out…more is on the way.
