Through The Night

This past Friday, we made that 12 hour trek back to the sunshine state. It was such a special few days in North Carolina–BJ had the privilege of speaking at his parents church. We decided to tack on a few extra days to hang with his family. Oh and the SNOW! It snowed while we were there. It was so much fun seeing Jetty experience snow for the first time.

We werent prepared for snow, so us Floridians got a bit creative and tied WalMart plastic bags around our shoes. Didn’t realize one of the bags on my shoes had a whole in it… So about an hour into our fun, my foot was about frozen. But, that’s a different blog post for a different day.

On our way home, we decided to leave in the morning. As sad as we were having to say, “See you later,” we didn’t want to drive through the night like we had on our way up to NC.

Driving through the night is no easy task. Your vision isn’t as sharp as it is when driving during the day. Especially when it’s raining and your co-pilots are all sleeping!

As I sat in the drivers seat,  during the darkest hour of the night, in the middle of a storm, all alone, I had a BLOG moment.

Have you ever found yourself in a dark time? A lonely time? A time when you were in the middle of a storm?

I have. This past Sunday, I concluded a two part, mini series, “Road Trip.” In this message I share about a dark time in my life and give encouragement about how to have “night time vision” when driving through the night.

FUNNY STORY: speaking of vision, two weeks ago, when I shared part one, my notes were in 11point font, on BJ’s iPad mini, on a stool… So, most of my message I couldn’t read a thing. THIS week however, I made sure to bold my font…. Making it way easier to see. Haha!!

Heres the full message,  Through The Night. I hope it encourages you. Comment below, I’d love to hear from you.

Every week, I highlight a TRUTH about you, your life, or about a situation you may be facing, and then I DARE you to believe it.

TRUTH: When you’re driving through the night, know that you’re driving through. This too shall pass. The sun will soon rise and shed light on darkness.

DARE: Put on night time glasses!!
